Coccoloba Suites are conveniently located in Colonia Tamarindos, in the “heart” of Zicatela. It is close to the party scenes of Puerto Escondido, Avenida del Morro, and the famous La Punta yet it is quiet enough to rest peacefully at night. Zicatela has developed from a beach full of spines and bushes to a sandy corridor full of restaurants, bars, clothing stores and hotels. Since Los Tamarindos is still considered a residential neighborhood, there are mainly houses and just few hotels. This makes the area exceptionally quiet and safe. It's easy to access, by either taking Morro Street in Zicatela, or coming down from the market located on freeway 200.
Coccoloba is a fruit known as the “sea grape” due to its appearance. Most people don’t eat or commercialize coccoloba because its pulp is minimal and it tastes salty. However, coccoloba plants continue to grow in Central and South America due to their adaptation to salty environments.
